Welcome to Origami Scotland!  We are a group of Scottish paper folders, mainly, but not always members of the British Origami Society.  We undertake origami displays and teaching sessions in central Scotland.

Throughout this site you will find evidence of some of our activities, some of our past (and occasionally) future events, as well as pictures of models folded, conventions both local, national and international that we have attended, and even a few diagrams of models for you to try.

Recipes

Recipes may seem like an unusual thing to have on an origami site, but I’ve noticed over the years that there seems to be a strong connection between people who like origami and people who like food. And at conventions I’ve been asked for particular recipes, so here they are. Tablet We will start with …

Regular Activities

Origami Scotland have a number of regular meetings where we welcome new and old folders to come along and try their hand at folding – learning on your own from books or from the internet is possible, but it is often easier to learn directly from other people.

In addition to this site we are also on Facebook.

The recent pandemic put a stop to our regular mini-meetings, but we are happy to announce that these will Resume from January 2024.   These are held once every two months – usually on the last Sunday of the “odd” months (January, March, May etc). These are just one of the regular mini-meetings held by members of the British Origami Society (BOS).  For details of mini meetings where you are see the mini-meetings page on the BOS Website.

We are also always open to requests and invitations to provide displays and either casual, or more formal teaching of origami on request, however, of necessity this is usually restricted to evenings or weekends only however we are now able to offer some midweek sessions if required.  For more information please contact us.
